ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Saturday, around 11 p.m., Rochester police responded to Lake Avenue for a report of a driver who crashed into a tree. Police say he has life-threatening injuries.
When police got to the scene, they reported finding a truck with significant front-end damage.
The driver, a 66-year-old Rochester man, received life-threatening upper-body injuries, police say. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Investigators say the man drove the truck south on Lake Avenue, losing control of the truck, crossing into the northbound lanes, and crashing into a light pole and tree.
The investigation is ongoing, and police ask anyone with information to call 911.
