ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Red Wings couldn’t have had a better season. The team broke through a 13-year playoff drought and took home the International League Championship for the first time in 29 years.
General Manager Dan Mason has been with the team for over 30 years. He remembers the last Governor’s Cup win in 1997, the first year at the team’s new ballpark — Frontier Field.
To celebrate the historical season, Mason joined our Brett Davidsen for this week’s News10: Beyond The Headlines.
From the challenges of building team chemistry with a changing roster to why the team lost out on home field advantage in the playoffs, you can catch the new episode starting Friday at 7 a.m.
