PULTNEYVILLE, N.Y. — Police continued searching the area Thursday after human remains were found Wednesday night in a wooded area between Lake Ontario and Lake Road in the Wayne County hamlet of Pultneyville.
Wayne County sheriff’s deputies responded after a call came in to 911 reporting the discovery of a human skull in the woods north of an apple orchard. When they got there, deputies — assisted by New York State Police and the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office — found additional skeletal remains in the immediate area, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Police continued searching the area Thursday but found no additional remains.
