Genesee County cold case: Authorities renew call for information on woman’s death from 1997

 

GENESEE COUNTY, N.Y. — Thursday marks the 29th anniversary of the death of Ann Lee Rippel, who was found dead back on April 23, 1997. Her body was found in shallow water along the bank of Little Tonawanda Creek, near the intersection of Brookville and West Bethany roads in the Town of Alexander. Her investigation has been ongoing since 1997.

The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office urges anyone who remembers the circumstances and unusual activity that led up to her death to come forward.
