First Alert Weather: Tracking Hurricane Isaias and how it will impact our weekend weather

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Our first hurricane of the season in the Atlantic has formed in the gulf and will continue to intensify as it approaches the Gulf Coast near Alabama and Florida late Friday night into Saturday morning. After the storm makes landfall, the remnants will lift north towards the Ohio valley Saturday and into the Rochester region on Sunday. For your weekend plans the weather looks great Saturday but will go downhill Sunday afternoon. The exact timing of when the rain starts is still hard to tell so stay tuned to News10 for updates on timing for Sunday. Threat Tracker green into Saturday.

Thursday weather will start bright and sunny with a few puffy clouds developing during the afternoon with a slight shower threat but most of us stay dry. Another breezy day with gusts 20-25mph from the northwest this afternoon. A bit cooler than yesterday with temps in the low to mid 60s. Friday looks nice with plenty of sunshine and temps in the 60s. Fine weather Saturday near 70 with sunshine then increasing clouds later in the day. Nice weather for Monday holidays. A strong cold front arrives Tuesday with some rain and chilly weather middle of next week.
