ROCHESTER, N.Y. – It’s a cold, cold morning across Western New York, with temperatures having gotten down into the low 30s for most, and even the upper 20s in some spots. Southwest wind and lots of sunshine will help us warm up though, with highs this afternoon in the low 60s. Great weather for hiking through some beautiful fall foliage!

Tonight won’t be AS cold, but you’ll still need the heater as lows reach the upper 30s. We warm up further tomorrow with highs in the mid 60s.

Not much else to say about the rest of the week besides how BEAUTIFUL it’s going to be. A large upper level ridge and surface high pressure gets stuck over the eastern US which will keep our temperatures at or a little above normal and our skies sunny! Fall colors are peaking in the Southern Tier and southern Finger Lakes during this time, so this is about the best setup you could ask for. Rochester’s colors won’t peak until AROUND the 26th. Stay tuned for updates on how long this nice weather pattern lasts.
