We’re tracking temperatures in the 90s for Wednesday, with the heat index topping 100 at times. News10NBC has issued a Yellow Alert through Friday for the heat. You can see the latest forecast here.

At one point, around 1,000 RG&E customers in Monroe County and over 150 in Ontario County were without power. However, many of those outages have been restored. As of 5 a.m., around 160 in Monroe County and around 150 in Ontario County are without power. You can see the latest numbers on RG&E’s outage tracker here.

This week, RG&E crews will be on standby to fix any power outages that could leave people without air conditioning during excessive heat. An RG&E spokesperson said the utility company is closely monitoring the forecast and will make repairs quickly.

We’ve reached out to RG&E to see when the remaining outages will be fixed. Check back for updates.
