YATES COUNTY, N.Y. — A Penn Yan woman was charged on Thursday after being suspected of assaulting a child at a daycare. The sheriff’s office reported that the injury to the child happened back on April 22 while in her care.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office said Paige Willoughby, 34, has been charged with reckless assault of a child by a daycare provider and endangering the welfare of a child.
This comes after an investigation into the incident at the daycare facility in the Town of Benton, deputies say.
She was given an appearance ticket to appear in Benton Town Court.
