ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Mercy Flight announced it is now operating an ambulance service in the Finger Lakes region.
The organization announced plans to buy Finger Lakes Ambulance Agency back in December. The purchase has now been completed and the service is operational.

This is different than Mercy Flight Central, which is a separate helicopter ambulance service that covers much of Western New York. The new ground ambulance service will provide additional EMS coverage specifically for the Finger Lakes area.
