ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Wegmans has been named the number one best workplace in retail on the 2026 Fortune Best Workplaces in Retail list for the 11th year in a row.
The ranking comes from “Great Place To Work” and “Fortune” magazine based on survey responses from more than 76,000 retail employees.
“There is nothing more important to us so this is a tremendous celebration belonging to every person at Wegmans,” said Wegmans President and CEO Colleen Wegman in a press release. “We are inspired by the way our people bring our shared values to life every day and make the commitment every day you get our best.”
So far this year, Wegmans has been named a Best Company to Work for, Best Workplace in New York, and ranked number two on the PEOPLE Companies That Care list.
Wegmans employees and customers will celebrate the honor on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 11 a.m., with mini cupcakes and clementines served at every store.
