ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Tickets are on sale for the 34th annual North American tour of “The Nutcracker,” which is coming to Rochester’s West Herr Auditorium Theatre in December.
The holiday-themed ballet, featuring music composed by Tchaikovsky, is taking place on Thursday, Dec. 10. The show starts at 7 p.m. The cast includes more than 40 performers from around the globe, including principal dancers from Ukraine’s opera houses.
This year’s production will include the debut of a hand-crafted Rat King puppet, created by Broadway and film fabrication studio Costume Armour, Inc. You can get tickets to the show here. For special pricing for groups, you can call 800-320-1733 or email groups@nutcracker.com.
As with previous years, professional dancers will share the stage with young local talent through the “Dance With US” program.
