IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — The man accused of a deadly shooting in Irondequoit earlier this month has been indicted on a murder charge.

A grand jury also indicted the man, 26-year-old Armon Benefield, on two charges of criminal possession of a weapon. This comes almost two weeks after the victim in the shooting, 50-year-old William Lundy, died from his injuries.

Police say a fight led up to the shooting on April 9 near the corner of Saint Paul Boulevard and Second Street.
