St. Paul Boulevard Fire District says two people died in a house fire on Carol Drive on Sunday

 

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. — The St. Paul Boulevard Fire District says two people died in a fire at 112 Carol Drive on Sunday morning. The fire district reported going to the scene around 7:40 a.m.

When crews arrived, they saw the fire coming from the house’s bedroom window, knocking it down in under 10 minutes.

Chief Kenneth Stavalone of the fire district said two victims were found, but did not survive.

Our photojournalist went to the scene, and he saw a window being boarded up, along with extensive damage to the side of the house.

The investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
