ALBANY, N.Y. — A new Siena University poll shows Governor Kathy Hochul’s ratings have improved slightly as cost of living remains the top issue for New York voters.
The poll, released Thursday, found Hochul’s favorability at 43-44% and job approval at 53-42%, both up from April. Cost of living was cited as the most important issue by 53% of voters, with 77% naming it among their top two concerns.
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman also saw his favorability improve to 25-21%. According to the poll, Hochul’s head-to-head lead over him grew to 52-32% from 49-33%.
The survey also showed broad support for state proposals on lawsuits against officials and utility rebates.
