ROCHESTER, N.Y. — State Sen. Jeremy Cooney secured a $1 million donation for the Eastman School of Music’s Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre.
Cooney announced the grant during a Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra holiday performance. He said the funds will be used for audio, visual, and lighting renovations.
“We have secured one million dollars to advance and open up the Eastman School of Music and Kodak Hall at Eastman School, to have the newest technology from LED lights to sound mixing, so that we can have the best shows here in Rochester,” Cooney said.
This marks the theater’s first major capital project since 2009.
