ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man is facing attempted murder and other charges as Rochester Police say he shot another man on Jay Street in September.
It all started when police responded to Strong Memorial Hospital on Sept. 28 for a report of a gunshot victim. Police say the victim, a man in his 30s, had been shot multiple times. They say medical staff were able to stabilize him.
Investigators say the victim and the suspect, Pierce Gardner, 25, got into an argument outside of a store on Jay Street when Gardner pulled out a gun and shot the victim multiple times before fleeing.
Gardner was arrested by the United States Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force Tuesday. Along with attempted murder, he’s charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
He was arraigned and is being held in the Monroe County Jail.
