ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The City of Rochester is now taking submissions from residents to commemorate American history through the America 250 Poster Project, a national initiative. The deadline is set for Wednesday, April 8.

The submission process will consider poster designs that reflect civic pride, historic connection, and optimism for the next 250 years.

The city’s website will display the top 25 poster submissions. One of the submissions will be submitted by the city to USCM, U.S. Conference of Mayors, being displayed at the organization’s 94th annual meeting. It will take place from June 4 through 7 in Long Beach, California.

“As we celebrate 250 years of American history, this poster contest is an opportunity to honor our shared values, tell our local stories, and imagine the next chapter of our democracy,” said Mayor Malik Evans.

City residency is based on municipal boundaries, not ZIP codes.
