ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester man is facing charges after New York State Police say he raped a 15-year-old boy who he met online.
Tasha Evans, 40, was arrested on Friday. State Police began investigating last October after getting a referral from the Office of Children and Family Services.
Investigators say the victim communicated with Evans through the Tinder app before meeting with him. They say the sexual assault happened on Sept. 30.
Evans is charged with two felonies: third-degree rape and use of a child less than 17 in a sexual performance. He was taken to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment.
Investigators say they used search warrants, seized electronic devices, and did multiple interviews to make the arrest.
