Police: Boy receives non-life-threatening injuries after being hit by a vehicle on Friday

 

WEBSTER, N.Y. — On Friday, around 10:30 a.m., Webster police said they got a report of a 10-year-old boy being hit by a vehicle in the area of 613 Ridge Road.

Investigators say the vehicle was going west on Ridge Road when the boy ran into the roadway.

The boy received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital, police reported.

Police say the driver, Joshua Dummer of Webster, 34, was charged with operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs and vehicular assault in the first degree, among other traffic violations.

He was taken to the Monroe County Jail for arraignment, his bail set at $1,500, police added.
