Officials to celebrate completion of modernization project at Rochester’s airport

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A multi-million dollar airport project is now completed, according to the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT).

The NYSDOT and others plan to celebrate the completion of the $38.1 million modernization project to transform the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport.

The celebration is on Tuesday December 2 at 10 a.m. at the airport on Brooks Avenue.

NYSDOT Commissioner, Marie Therese Dominguez, will join state and local officials for the celebration.

In 2024, Governor Kathy Hochul announced the project along with photo renderings for the plans:
