Officer bitten by pit bull while treating victim of dog attack in Ontario County

 

GENEVA, N.Y. — Two people, including a police officer, are recovering after a dog attack.

Police responded to Austin Place in Geneva around 4:45 p.m. Monday. That’s where they found a person with multiple dog bites.

As officers put a tourniquet on the victim’s leg, a pit bull bit an officer.

The first victim went to the hospital with severe injuries. The officer was treated at the hospital and released.

Charges against the dog’s owner are pending.
