ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Tuesday, Rochester police arrested a Greece man following a domestic violence report involving shots being fired, police say.
Irondequoit police say the domestic argument began around 3:30 p.m. on Monday between a tenant from Strathmore Circle and her ex-boyfriend, about a child.
Police say Shannen Morrison, 34, broke into the victim’s apartment with a revolver. Morrison reportedly smashed a TV, chased the victim out of the apartment, and later walked away from the victim and drove away in his car while shooting twice with the revolver, police explained.
The victim wasn’t hit, and police were called to the scene, investigating to find him.
Later on Tuesday afternoon, Rochester police found Morrison in his car at the intersection of Lake Avenue and Owen Street when he was arrested, police reported. His current girlfriend was detained, according to police, but was eventually released.
Police say the revolver wasn’t found after they searched the car.
Morrison was brought to the Irondequoit Police Department for questioning and processing. He was charged with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, reckless endangerment in the first degree, and burglary in the first degree.
He was taken to CAP court for arraignment.
