ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A weak cold front passing through Thursday night will increase our clouds temporarily into the first part of the night. The front is lacking moisture, and will tend to fall apart as it passes through. Meanwhile, high pressure builds back in for Friday, allowing for another quiet end to the work week. Friday will be a little cooler, with highs in the mid 50s and some passing clouds at times.

The weekend is looking wonderful! We’ll see peak fall colors in much of the Rochester and Finger Lakes regions, and top notch weather to go with it. Saturday will start off with some frost on the ground once again and a chill to the air, but we’ll warm back to near 60 degrees. Sunday looks even better, with a mostly sunny sky and temperatures into the mid 60s! So whether you want to go to a park or just your neighborhood to check out the fall color, the weather will be great! On that note, the weather will cooperate for any sort of outdoor activity you may have planned this weekend.

We’ll stay quiet into at least the first half of next week, though a weak cold front may drop south again on Monday. This will drop our temperatures back into the 50s on Tuesday, before another brief little warmup ahead of our next wave of low pressure and chance of rain toward the middle to end of next week.

If you’re curious about the Halloween Trick or Treat forecast a week from Saturday, at this point it looks dry and seasonable. However, we are still more than a week away, and this is a low confidence forecast right now. So, check back in on News10NBC on-air and online as we get a little closer.
