ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker Green Monday with lots of sunshine and a nice warm-up into the afternoon. A few high clouds may drift in later today but all in all the best day of the week. Many of us will see afternoon temps near 70 degrees but a lakebreeze will keep it much cooler near the water. The weather on Tuesday will not be as spectacular but also not a washout. A few scattered showers but plenty of dry time and remaining mild in the 60s. Bigger changes arrive on Wednesday.

The rain on Wednesday will pick up in the afternoon and another soaking is looking likely. Rain amounts around an inch are possible into Wednesday night. At this time we are not looking for any flooding or thunderstorms so the Threat Tracker will remain Green. This system will also bring much cooler weather back to the region as temps fall into the 40s during the afternoon on Wednesday.

Behind this system the big story will be a prolonged period of below normal weather. High temps in the 40s and 50s will persist through the weekend into next week. Temperatures at night will dip into the 30s with some frosty mornings possible. Some showers will be possible at times in the cool weather. Stay tuned to News10 for updates on the timing and amounts of rain expected on Wednesday.
