CHILI, N.Y. — A driver in her 20s has died after a truck crashed into her SUV on Scottsville Road in Chili on Monday night.

The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. between Milewood and Morgan roads. Monroe County sheriff’s deputies say the crash happened when a truck was trying to pass another car heading north and hit the SUV, which was heading south.

Deputies say the SUV driver died at the scene. Her name hasn’t been released yet, pending family notification. A passenger in the SUV was also injured, but is expected to survive. Both people in the truck had minor injuries.

Deputies say the truck driver was issued several traffic tickets, and the investigation is ongoing. Scottsville Road was closed for hours, but it has reopened. Check back for any updates.
