ROCHESTER, N.Y. — With Election Day now three weeks away, News10NBC is highlighting two of the races for the House of Representatives on the ballot in our region.
As part of that coverage, we offered two minutes of free airtime to each major party candidate to make their case directly to you.
We gave each candidate a practice run and three attempts, letting them choose which message to air. The rules were no editing and no advice.
One of the races we’re highlighting is the race for New York’s 25th Congressional District. Virginia McIntyre is going up against Incumbent Rep. Joe Morelle for the 25th Congressional District.

We’re also highlighting the race for New York’s 24th Congressional District.
Democratic candidate Alissa Ellman also accepted the offer to record a two-minute message.

Ellman is going up against Incumbent Rep. Claudia Tenney for the 24th District.
We first started reaching out to Tenney about this free air time back on Sept. 23. We have emailed her and her team six times since, and haven’t gotten a response.
