HENRIETTA, N.Y. – The Monroe County Department of Public Health says a child who was staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Henrietta has tested positive for measles.

The Department of Public Health says on June 6, the child, who is unvaccinated and from Florida, stayed overnight for a single night and then left by a private vehicle on June 7. They say while in another state, the child tested positive.

The department says they are in the process of contact tracing and notifying anyone who may have been exposed. The overall risk to the community is low, according to the department.

Anyone who worked or visited the hotel between June 6 and 7 and is experiencing symptoms of measles should reach out to their health care provider.
