YATES COUNTY, N.Y. — An investigation is underway in the Finger Lakes after a string of car break-ins and thefts.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office is teaming up with local agencies and State Police to identify suspects. Investigators think the break-ins may be linked.
Anyone with information, camera footage, or missing property is asked to contact the Yates County Sheriffs Office, or 911.
The sheriff’s office wants to remind people to always lock your car and remove all valuables to cut down on theft.
