ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Abbott’s will celebrate its 100th year on Lake Avenue in Rochester this Friday with a “Centennial Scoop.”
A ceremony is set for 2 p.m. Friday afternoon, followed by a community celebration at 5:30 p.m. There will be live music, face painting, the Seneca Park Zoo-Mobile and more.
The Lake Avenue location is Abbott’s first. The business now has frozen custard stands in seven states. The summer-time staple was founded back in 1902, and opened it’s iconic beach location in 1926. The Lake Avenue stand opened for the 2026 season on March 18.
