UPDATE: Firefighters rescue window washers stuck outside 22nd floor of The Metropolitan in downtown Rochester

 

UPDATE: According to News10NBC’s photojournalist on the scene, the window washers have been rescued.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Emergency crews have been working Tuesday evening to rescue three window washers who have been stuck on a lift at or near the 22nd floor of The Metropolitan building at 1 South Clinton Ave.

According to the Rochester Fire Department, crews are trying to restore power to the lift; otherwise, they will cut a window on the building.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
