ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A man, 50, is recovering after a shooting on Champlain Street off Jefferson Avenue on Friday morning.
News10NBC’s photojournalist saw multiple Rochester Police cruisers swarm a house on Champlain Street. We also saw them close off part of the street with crime scene tape. RPD later confirmed that a man was shot in the upper body around 4 a.m.
An ambulance took the man to Strong Memorial Hospital and he is expected to survive. RPD says the investigation is still in the early stages and anyone with information is asked to call 911. There is no word on any arrests. Check back for updates.
