ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker is Yellow today for a few hours of dangerous heat and humidity Tuesday afternoon. Temps will soar into the low to mid 90s after the lunch hour through 5PM. The record high temp for Rochester today is 97 set in 1952. The humidity will also be noticeably higher this afternoon. The feel like Heat Index will reach 100 to 105 degrees. Heat Advisories are in effect area wide for the hot weather. If you are outside for an extended period of time today, take breaks, and don’t overdo it. Listen to your body and find some AC and drink cold water if you not feeling well. Wind gusts over 30mph are likely later today as well.






Very warm weather continues into Wednesday and Thursday, but the humidity will be dropping so it will not be as oppressive. Threat Tracker back to green after today. Plenty of sunshine and fair weather into the end of the week. Showers and thunder return for Saturday with cooler weather this weekend and seasonable weather into next week.
