Yellow Alert: Hot and humid Tuesday as we track a severe threat this evening

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Tuesday morning clouds and a couple light showers will clear for another hot and humid day ahead. Most of this day will feature quiet weather but our Threat Tracker has a Yellow Alert as storms arrive Tuesday Evening. These local thunderstorms will be strong to severe between 6-10PM. Weather will clear by midnight and Threat Tracker back to green Wednesday and Thursday.

These storms have the potential to bring heavy rain, lightning, hail, and strong damaging wind gusts. We will be tracking the development and movement of the thunder through the day into tonight so stay tuned to News10 for updates. Clearing and much cooler Wednesday with morning clouds and shower giving way to some sunshine. Temps tomorrow only in the low 60s. Even cooler on Thursday with sunshine and highs in the 50s. Friday looks like a nice day with a chilly morning in the low 40s. Looking ahead to the Memorial Day Weekend showers looking likely on Saturday and a few linger into Sunday. Memorial Day will have a shower threat, but it is looking drier. For outdoor plans this weekend stay tuned to News10 for updates on the timing of the rain.
