Woman accused of stabbing stepfather acquitted on murder charge

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A woman has been found not guilty by a Monroe County jury after being accused of stabbing her stepfather in August.

Keyanna Richards was charged with second-degree murder. According to Rochester Police, Richards stabbed her stepfather, Gary Morgan, after he confronted her about the things she stole from his apartment.

Police say Gary Morgan was pronounced dead shortly after getting to St. Mary’s Medical Campus on Genesee Street.
