ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester region is cleaning up after strong winds overnight brought down trees and power lines and blew objects onto the road.
Watch News10NBC now through 7 a.m. here as we track the wind damage. Our crew saw downed power lines sparking a fire about 25 feet from a house on Morgan Road in Chili around 1:30 a.m. First responders put out that fire and RG&E cut the power.
An hour before that, there was a house fire on Ridge Road in Webster, with initial calls saying it was weather-related. The homeowner used a fire extinguisher before crews showed up.
