Wegmans expands recalls of Locatelli Grated cheese due to Listeria concerns

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Wegmans has expanded its recall for its Locatelli Grated Pecorino Romano cheese due to potential Listeria contamination. The cheese was sold in stores across 11 states, including New York, between Nov. 14 and Nov. 24.

The cheese is packaged in plastic tubs with Wegmans scale labels. While no illnesses have been reported, Listeria can cause serious infections.

Customers can return the cheese for a full refund, officials said.
