LYONS, N.Y. — It may not be boasting season quite yet, but the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is planning ahead.
The sheriff’s office’s recreation safety division will be offering the New York State Safe Boating Course. This class is required for operators of personal watercrafts, such as a jet ski, or wave runner type vessel, and power boats.
It will be offered on four Saturdays starting in late March through early April. Here is the follow schedule for the classes:
- Saturday, March 21, 8:30 a.m.– 5:00 p.m. at the Wayne County EMO. 7376 RT 31. Room # 2011, Lyons. Those attending will need to bring a pen and lunch.
- Saturday, March 28, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Wayne County Fire Training Building. 1525 Nye Rd., Lyons. Those attending will need to bring a pen and lunch.
- Saturday, April 4, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Ontario Recreation, Casey Park 6551 Knickerbocker Rd. Ontario. Those attending will need to bring a pen and lunch
- Saturday, April 11, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at the Wayne County EMO. 7376 RT 31. Room # 2011, Lyons. Those attending will need to bring a pen and lunch.
