ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Tennis legend Venus Williams made a special appearance at the YWCA’s Empowering Women Luncheon, which marked its 20th year on Wednesday.
This year’s theme was “Serving Strength, Building Futures,” aimed at celebrating the collective strength of the Rochester community. The sold-out luncheon took place at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.

“I’ve spent my life as an athlete and I think that lends itself very, very nicely to entrepreneurship because you have to have that same hustle, that same resilience, that same ability to bounce back,” Williams said.
News10NBC’s Deanna Dewberry served as emcee for the event, which News10NBC proudly sponsored as a media partner.
