ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Many important locations throughout Rochester will be closed on Monday, due to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Other community events are set to take place on the upcoming holiday.
Closures for Monday
Places such as Rochester City Hall, Neighborhood Service Centers, R-Centers, Rochester Animal Services, Rochester City Branch Libraries, the Rochester Traffic Violations Agency, and the Honorable Loretta C. Scott Center for Human Services administrative office building will be closed on Monday.
Skating events for Monday
Rochester’s ice rinks, such as the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square and Genesee Valley Park Sports Complex, are open at normal hours on Monday.
The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Park Ice Rink will hold its annual “Skate to Commemorate” open skating event on Monday, with free admission in exchange for canned food or hygiene donations.

Recycling collection and 311 Call Center
Refuse and recycling services will be delayed by one day due to the upcoming holiday.
Normal hours will remain open for Rochester’s 311 Call Center, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday.
