Trial date set for former assistant principal accused of inappropriately touching student

 

GENEVA, N.Y. — A former assistant principal at Geneva High School is set to go on trial this summer. James Nunez has been accused of inappropriately touching a student.

The mother of the alleged victim told News10NBC that Nunez put his lips on her son, called him “sweetie,” and hugged him from behind.

In charging documents for Nunez obtained by News10NBC, it details Nunez actions, including him going up to a student, putting his arm around the boy’s head, and kissing him in the area of his cheek or neck.

Nunez has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and harassment. His trial is scheduled for July 28.

We confirmed that Nunez previously worked at several local school districts, including Fairport, Rush Henrietta, Brighton, Rochester, and Greece.
