ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Members of the Bills Mafia gathered at Ziggy’s on Railroad Street — among multiple venues in and around the Flower City — creating an electric atmosphere as they prepared for the first official Bills game of the season. News10NBC’s Tom Kowalski was at the bar to capture the season-opener excitement.
The bar was packed with fans, and Ziggy’s even had an outdoor seating area for game viewing. The influx of fans marked a significant moment for local bars after the Bills’ playoff hopes ended with their loss in the 2024-25 AFC Championship to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Patrick Stetzel, owner of Ziggy’s, said, “It’s the community, man. The season we go so many months of seeing the same people every week, just having as much fun as we can.”
Stetzel added that he is excited to see the community they have built at Ziggy’s over the last couple of years.
Hannah Ghebrihiwet, a customer at Ziggy’s, said, “It’s home. This is where all our people come together.”
