US-Based Palestinian Peace Activist Claims Hamas Hid Baby Formula To Accuse Israel of Starvation

A US-based Palestinian activist who opposes Hamas claimed on X that the terror group was systematically hoarding baby formula in Gaza and hiding it in its facilities to create the illusion that Israel was deliberately starving children.
Ahmad Fouad Al-Khatib released a video on X showing stacks of baby formula and children’s nutritional shakes stored in sealed facilities. He said the footage, which the New York Post also published, was taken inside sites controlled by Hamas and the ministry.
In his post, Al-Khatib wrote that “during the most severe days of the hunger crisis in Gaza, Hamas deliberately hid tons of baby food and nutritional shakes for children,” asserting that the group used the shortages to shape a narrative of intentional starvation. He added that the supplies were “kept in clandestine warehouses” for months while Gaza residents searched for basic nutrition for infants and toddlers.
The video appeared to show Hamas members opening crates of formula, which Al-Khatib said was part of a plan to restrict the goods, “worsen the hunger crisis and initiate a disaster.” He described the move as part of a broader attempt to blame Israel for conditions on the ground.
Israeli officials have repeatedly rejected claims that it was intentionally restricting food to civilians and creating famine conditions, saying that food shortages in specific neighborhoods were caused by Hamas diverting and looting aid. The revelation shared by Al-Khatib aligns with Israel’s position that the group prevented supplies from reaching civilians.
