SWAT team raids drug house in North Clinton Avenue neighborhood

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – A significant drug bust took place on Wednesday in Rochester’s North Clinton Avenue neighborhood.

In the morning, a SWAT team searched a house at the corner of North Clinton Avenue and Ketchum Street. They found fentanyl, crack cocaine, and powder cocaine. Jamie Statt and Stormy Watts are facing drug charges.

Rochester Police also cleared out what they called an open-air drug market nearby on Morrill Street.

“This open-air drug market and this drug house were literally within a stone’s throw of a daycare facility that operates in the neighborhood with young children there on a daily basis, dealing with the after effects of what comes when there’s heavy drug trafficking in a neighborhood,” RPD Chief Smith said.

Chief Smith said in the last few months, there have been gunfire, a person shot, a carjacking, and multiple trash fires on Morrill Street.
