ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police say they responded to the area of Fernwood Avenue and Manitou Street around 3 p.m. on Sunday, finding a man with a minor head injury, claiming people attempted to rob him.
Officers say they found a Rochester resident, 56, with a head injury from an air rifle.
The report says the suspects were attempting to rob him when he was hit by the air rifle.
The victim told police that he managed to push the suspects away from him, and they then ran away.
The number of suspects is unknown; no suspects are in custody, police say.
The man was treated by AMR staff at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
