ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Despite rough weather leaving roads covered in snow, many people were out running errands on Saturday night.
News10NBC spoke to shoppers at the Wegmans on East Avenue. The big draw was shopping for the Super Bowl, with shelves thinning out as people stocked up on game day essentials.
Chips, dips, chicken wings, and Super Bowl-themed snacks and decorations were popular items. For those avoiding the weather, Instacart shoppers like Joseph Gaudio were busy gathering supplies for Super Bowl parties.
“The roads haven’t been too bad. I haven’t had any real issues,” Gaudio said. “A well, slippery at some places, but, having this for me hasn’t been too bad.”
If planning any last-minute shopping, be cautious of the snow-covered roads, which can cause slippery conditions.
News10NBC is airing Sunday’s Super Bowl, which begins at 6:30 p.m. EST.
