SENECA COUNTY, N.Y. — The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office got a report of what investigators believe to be multiple full-sized sticks of dynamite and a live grenade at a residence on Brewer Road in the Town of Waterloo on Friday around 11:30 a.m.
The reports says the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department’s Hazardous Device Squad and a Seneca County Sheriff’s Office K9 were requested to go to the scene to detect the bombs and materials.
The explosives were removed safely by the bomb squad, along with 20 pounds of gun powder, the sheriff’s office says.
Deputies say it’s an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the community.
