ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A police chase with a car, reported stolen, went through Brighton and Rochester’s southwest side before ending with a crash on Wednesday night.
News10NBC’s photojournalist captured the chase on Mount Hope Avenue. Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police cruisers were following the white sedan as it turned on Byron Street.
Deputies say the chase started around 11:30 p.m. after the car refused to pull over. Deputies believed the car was involved in a crime in Henrietta. The chase eventually crossed from Brighton into the city.
The sheriff’s office says the chase ended when the car crashed into several parked cars at the corner of South Union Street and Buena Place. Our photojournalist saw tire tracks across that area. According to deputies, the car then drove off again and hasn’t been found.
Deputies say no one was injured during the crash. Check back for any updates.
