ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Santa made an early appearance Sunday at Hooked Fish Market on Driving Park Avenue, delighting families with a special toy giveaway event.
Dozens of families lined up outside the market to participate in the festive event. Once inside, each child received a gift and had the opportunity to take a picture with Santa. The market offered hundreds of gifts for children to choose from.
Kenneth Rivers, owner of Hooked Fish Market, emphasized the importance of community support. “It’s special because the people in our community need to feel loved and know that we are here for them as well,” Rivers said.
Rivers expressed his joy in seeing the children’s excitement. “It makes me feel awesome, man, that all the kids come out and are looking forward to coming and taking a picture and receiving a gift,” he said.
The market handed out 300 gifts to children during the event. Rivers said he hopes to make the event even bigger next year.
