Sabres Forward Alex Tuch and his wife donate $50K to NICU in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Although the Buffalo Sabres didn’t have a game on Friday, Sabres Forward Alex Tuch kept himself busy.

Donation to Sisters of Charity Hospital

Tuch and his wife, Kylie, made a surprise $50,000 donation to the NICU at the Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo. The donation was made on behalf of Tuch’s AT9 Foundation.

News10NBC’s Buffalo affiliate reports Alex and Kylie’s son got critical care in the NICU last year. Alex said it was important for them to give back.

“This hospital has changed our lives for the better, and we couldn’t even imagine our life without him,” said Tuch. “To be able to just help a single family is all we’ve wanted to do, so hopefully we help multiple, as many as possible, moving forward.”

About the AT9 Foundation

According to the foundation’s website, it is a nonprofit aimed at improving the lives of kids battling cancer and those with special needs.

“Our mission is to provide emotional and financial support to families in need, while fostering a sense of hope, strength, and community,” the website states. “Through fundraising, outreach, and partnerships, we aim to ensure these children receive the care, resources, and opportunities they deserve to thrive despite their challenges.”

Meet and greet in Victor

Not long after making the donation, Tuch met some fans at the Dick’s Sporting Goods in Victor Friday night.

Tuch was greeted by a very long line of fans waiting to take pictures and get his autograph. In fact, so many fans came out to see him, some were turned away.
