ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police are set to speak at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday to discuss an arrest in the 2022 deadly shooting of local musician James Hallenbeck.
Hallenbeck was shot while walking on Seward Street in the city’s southwest during the early morning of Aug. 21. Officers found him dead at the scene and said he lived in the neighborhood.
News10NBC spoke with Hallenbeck’s bandmates and friends, who described him as someone who was always there for others and loved walking and riding his bicycle. They also described his musical talents, saying he played keyboard, the accordion, sang, and loved writing music.
